All you need is to degrade the quality of the recorded video on any camera exposed to the public internet enough for ai to have divergent results due to how ambiguous the images captured are. There are thousands of hobby projects that let you browse actual feeds from such cameras and usually that means you can get hardware metadata and in most cases change how the video is recorded by patching the driver running on the already publicly accessed cameras. Why make an exaggerated strawman argument while at the same time pretending you know better than everyone else?

It’d be a shame if anonymous types started working on poisoning all publicly accessible cameras with ai poison pills that brick whatever model you try to run on the footage

Then it will be replaced by endless feed of accounts posting ai slop that markets specific items/ideas to people. Why get paid to put Tide ads on side banner when the user can pay you to receive fake content promoting right wing ideology (in exchange for access to power in the us). Yes and no. It’s objectively true that things like streaming services, food delivery, and online communications got worse not better over time. It’s not true for all things but there are definitely things that simply got worse for profit

In fantasy land you can open a competing restaurant. Back here on earth not only is that not an option for 99% of the population, most people are stuck with the couple choices they have in town and when tech comes in and forces the enshitificstion of services in order to pump stock price you’re stuck just eating this shit forever. That’s the problem. You seem to believe in “the invisible hand of the free market” when that simply doesn’t exist. Consumers aren’t rational. Investors aren’t rational. And the market is anything but free. Big tech is working really hard to make sure they have a stranglehold on every industry to make it worse and trap people into using their platforms.
