    They tend to have a lot of depth and character, and they don’t follow the same plot or set of acts so it sets them apart from DreamWorks/Pixar movies in the west. Unless you hate the art style entirely theres a good chance theres a few movies you will like.

      Yeah that’s the same I keep hearing from everyone who likes the movies, and I’ve heard/read lengthy explanations of a few of them, and was pushed to rewatch a couple with various groups or individuals. Most often I think that movie with the dirty river god in some bath house, forgot what it’s called.

      I believe I must have watched 5 or 6, most of which more than once, and it’s seriously not my cup of tea.

          I got a rather broad taste, from fantasy/sci-fi over crime/thriller/action to dramas and even the odd romance. My favorite animated movie (it that’s what you’re trying to figure out) would probably be some Disney classics like Lion King or Jungle Book.
