I’m almost that age, and am technically adept also. I’d say the “old people on Facebook” age is a good bit higher. I’m sure some people who are 65 or 70 understand what AI is too.
Have they? What I’ve seen is people over 50 have zero idea that AI exists and consistently fall for obviously absurd Facebook posts.
As far as transactions, yes, something like Visa takes way less than Bitcoin. For HFT compared to crypto, who knows, but one thing they’re not doing is something intentionally wasteful like proof of work.
Sure… OP said over 60, but I think over 65-70 would be more accurate for people who don’t know about generative AI at all.
