Can we no longer watch youtube without being logged in? Every embedded video i see doesnt work. Every time i try to click on a video it tells me to sign in.
If i have an ad block running it basically blocks the website.
I really think its the auto plays and the untracked accounts.
Youtube would rather be able to track every user and make more profit per person than go big tent all audiences.
Oh, you havent seen the videos where someone literally includes random other videos on the screen at the same time cause they got bored editing?
Do they enjoy it? Probably not but hey they got bored.
You can easily overwork devs, and while their salary is higher than others a difference between 60k and 120k salaries is less than 60 employees to do manual work and 15 to automate it.
Plus when devs create a digital item that can generate a profit nearly indefinitely they are viewed as cost productive to MBA types. Versus janitors where for some reason we dont see a value at all in cause of no immediate profit from their position.
Yeah, this isnt AI, its just able to detect and help re-arrange what we already have but it doesnt do anything new.
And we have a lot of info but we dont know everything actually.
It’s absurd that anyone making less than $50k a year is saving more money than someone making $200k.
If they arent buying assets they arent actually saving, they are just building a buffer against drowning.
Also to simplify your percentages there of people living paycheck to paychecks.
Seems like increasing pay does reduce that issue even if there is an issue of spending to your max budget in america but I’d actually rather have currency in circulation than sitting in accounts for the sake of collecting.

That entire tristate area is also 20 million people so its more people than that that are wealthy enough to think the empire as a truly good thing.
Yeah, close to 6% of the population is making unfathomable amounts of money and the crazy thing is that just 6% of the population is still 20 Million people. You could replace the entire population of Tokyo with American millionaires and still have more to spare to claim New York too.
I swear the biggest lie is that America is somehow a better country because it has houses that are expensive and fast food so that it can import what essentially accounts to slave labor when they finally come over excited to work for lower wages and live in cramped housing without their social networks other than the other slave laborers.
Its probably how we make it how people not climbing financially can still feel superior. No one has to pay the debt if you can keep getting new people on a lower rung.

I do agree we could probably do more to separate distracting news from useful news since there is a lot of it. And I think that’s a pretty interesting suggestion. And I think that kind of creative consideration is exactly what we need to make actions that we think might work, since it’s smaller than the huge goal all at once.
There seems to be this concept that humans do their best when under pressure and I really think that is wrong, heck science literally agrees with me and so does history.
When people are uncomfortable and struggling they really just suck. Short fuse, anxiety, and uncreative. But during extremely peaceful and well funded times people prosper and contribute better. Look at how much we got out of the post world war 2 era of just funding and building more that gave us new genres of music and art and it’s from free time and comfort that people can get creative. Humans love to be lazy but get bored quick. It’s the center of all our innovation.
So, I agree that a better world would give us better everything but not really actionable advice for the moment in here though right?
If you want something great for being funny wholesome and weird while tripping I can’t recommend a sub but I always really like this Jacob Wysocki video and just sketch comedy channels like Door Monster and Chris and Jack, etc…
Otherwise on here I like the comic communities. They have been pretty good.
I’ve noticed that people seem to agree with the person they “think” is winning the argument and turns it into a game of butting heads, when I don’t think that is how social media should be treated anyways.
The whole point is people don’t know what you do and these spaces are supposed to be for coming together and communicating in a digital space instead of a physical space and then you share. But because it’s all practically to an audience people treat the conversation like a gladiator combat where someone needs to speak more confidently and belittle the other as to show their strength and get the upvotes. Or their humor to show they don’t care and are more funny than the other. It’s so competitive.
Honestly the best interactions come from the people who don’t use the platform as much and just talk like a person asking what other people think and responding reasonably. No assumptions of using the platform as a stage, no attempts to “win”, shouldn’t even be thinking you will get the other person to agree with you just that you both leave with more than what you came in with.
And that needs to be especially true for the fact that new younger people will come in and having no expectations of what they should already know or be but welcoming them in anyways is how it will have to continue.
Agreed and the recruiters are really only for specific jobs.
The wealthy have more time to shop around and more money to choose another option so companies think they need to provide extra incentives to get them which means better treatment and prices and etcetera.

I then emailed Google PR and… I asked if someone could provide actionable guidance for my readers who want to ensure Gemini integrations are completely disabled. Instead of answering the question, the person responding to my email wrote, in part: “This update is good for users: they can now use Gemini to complete daily tasks on their mobile devices like send messages, initiate phone calls, and set timers while Gemini Apps Activity is turned off. With Gemini Apps Activity turned off, their Gemini chats are not being reviewed or used to improve our AI models.”
Literally that reads like you can’t turn it off and they just scrape less of your data on a technicality.

Every video i click on basically. If i use a front end like newpipe or duckplayer it works but no other way to watch any videos without logging in.
