While that’s quite sad, in the case of their road trip, the comparison was made against the many splatters on the chase vehicles making the trip with them.

One interesting tidbit is that due to the aerodynamic design, bugs are swept over the windshield and don’t splatter. This effect was theorized in simulations but they were able to demonstrate it during the roadtrip.

It seems pretty normalized and expected in the tech company I’m at. I’ll be taking four months or so in August.
