Same. Mid-30s was also the time where I truly felt my body starting to decline, since most people’s physical peak is between late 20s and early 30s

I already know the common ones like the mammoths and pyramids for example.

I just go on youtube music (don’t need an account) and search “songs like x”. That will get you a bunch of algo and user created playlists. Then I listen to them and take note of the ones I like.
scytale@piefed.zipto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's a movie you can watch often and it never gets old?English3·7 days agoMost Villenueve movies are very rewatchable for me. Sicario, BR2049, Arrival, and the Dune films. Others like Incendies, Enemy, and Prisoners not as much, not because they are bad, but because they are pretty heavy to be watched repeatedly.

scytale@piefed.zipto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Would eating a 3.75Oz tin of sardines a day raise concerns about consuming too much mercury or lead?English11·8 days agoThat’s my wife’s favorite because they use olive oil and not soybean. We always have a stack of cans at home and we probably eat around 3-4 a week. From what I understand, smaller fish have less mercury, and I assume sardines have short lifespans so that also helps with heavy metal exposure.

scytale@piefed.zipto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Why are most religious people so easy to manipulate? (serious)English7·13 days agoBecause the premise of religion involves having full faith in someone/something without question or evidence. So the more a person believes in it, the easier they are to manipulate, and it tends to have the same effect on other things. So if you are able to tickle that specific part of their brain and make them fully believe in something, you can have them do almost anything you want them to do.

Having said that, I do hate those segments in concerts and sports where they feature audiences on the screens without consent. It’s not like there’s a line in the customer agreement when buying tickets that you allow your face to be featured (unless there is?). That’s why I always make myself as boring as possible - either just sitting with a straight face, or eating something - so I don’t get singled out.

scytale@piefed.zipto Technology@lemmy.world•Apple sues YouTuber who leaked iOS 26’s new “Liquid Glass” software redesignEnglish6·15 days agoBased on the article, the youtuber and an accomplice who knew an Apple employee accessed the employee’s phone while it was unattended, so technically it wasn’t intentional and more negligence. On the other hand, Apple also claims the employee failed to report previous breaches, so maybe this was the final straw.
